About Abu Arab Academy

At Abu Arab Academy, we believe learning Arabic should feel like an adventure, full of curiosity, culture, and real connection.

Spoken Arabic

Meet Abu Arab أبو عرب, our wise and experienced mentor. He’s a master of Arabic in all its forms: from the timeless beauty of العربية الفصحى (al ‘arabya al fuSHa) to the colorful dialects spoken across the Arab world. With years of deep knowledge and a true love for the language, he’s the perfect guide.

Alongside him is Alex, his curious student. Arabic isn’t Alex’s first language, but he’s passionate, eager to learn, and full of questions. Luckily, he found Abu Arab. And now, you have too.

At Abu Arab Academy, you’re part of the journey. Whether you want to focus on a dialect (like Egyptian, North African, Levantine, Iraqi, or Gulf), combine several, or master both الفصحى (al fuSHa) and daily conversation, you’re in the right place.

Enjoy community

Whether you want to reconnect with your family’s roots or bridge the gap with your in-laws, understand your friend’s humor or better communicate with colleagues, Abu Arab can bring you closer to those next to you.

Discover beauty

Learning Arabic will open up a world of wonder you’d never fully have access to otherwise: read renowned literature and religious scripts in their original forms, see the gorgeous sights of the Arabic world off the beaten path of the tourist, and live among the locals with ease.

We teach Arabic the way Arabs experience it...

…not through a distorted lens that separates “Classical” from “Modern” as if they were two different languages

In Arab culture, العربية الفصحى (al ‘arabya al fuSHa) is one continuous, living language.

Difficult words, old expressions, or formal phrasing can appear in any text—old or new—and that’s completely normal.

What does matter in Arab culture is the distinction between الفصحى (al fuSHa) (the formal, eloquent Arabic) and العامية (al ‘aammyyaa – the spoken dialects). Even this is seen as a spectrum, not a strict division, you can mix, you can shift, but the roots remain clear.

At Abu Arab Academy, we honor the true nature of Arabic.

We make complex topics simple. Together, the Abu Arab Academy team creates easy-to-follow explanations and cultural insights so that anyone, no matter their level, can learn and grow.
