In the previous post, we went through the one-letter and two-letter prepositions in Arabic. Now it’s time to move on to the three-letter prepositions.
We’ll start with the group على إلى حتّى and as you can see, all of them end with ى.
A spelling feature of على and إلى is that the final ى changes to ي when a pronoun suffix is attached.
